Honoring Indigenous Cultural Communities (ICCs) and Indigenous People’s (IP) rich culture and tradition here in Antique, the University of Antique through the collaborative effort of the Office of the Student Welfare and Sentro ng Wika at Kultura holds Indigenous Peoples Day Conference entitled “Paghinun-anun: Understanding the History, Language, and Cultural Heritage of Indigenous Peoples” at Paghi-usa Hall, November 5.

The conference gathered the identified IP students enrolled in the different colleges of the University as the conference aims to provide a platform where they can enhance their knowledge, explore current trends, and engage with influential thought leaders in the field as well as deepen their appreciation and awareness of the rich cultural diversity in Indigenous Communities.

The activity is still anchored on the 27th Indigenous People’s Right Act (IPRA) Commemoration and Indigenous Peoples Month Celebration.
