Students from the College of Computer Studies, College of Criminal Justice Education, and College of Arts and Sciences convened at Paghiusa Hall today, October 29, 2024, for Cybersecurity Awareness, a collaboration between the Data Privacy Unit of UA and the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT).
Mr. Kent Armel P. Jaragbas, Planning Assistant of DICT VI Cybersecurity PNPKI Unit, and Mr. Dexter D. Jayme, PDO-I-Government Digital Transformation Bureau / National Government Portal, gave a comprehensive discussion on Cybersecurity and eGovPH or e-Government Philippines, a one-stop shop application to ensure easy and secure government transactions.
Engr. Joemar Magbanua, Provincial Officer, DICT Antique, urged the participants to work together to build a digitally secured and empowered nation through safeguarding the digital spaces and strengthening the collective confidence, readiness, and resilience to face cyber challenges.
The activity is also anchored on the celebration of Cybersecurity Month which is celebrated in October.
