
After his short-term engagement with the University of Antique under the Balik Scientist Program, Dr. Gerard Dumancas, held a Virtual Exit Report Presentation through Zoom, today, July 4, 2025.
DOST-PCIEERD Executive Director Dr. Enrico Paringit commended Dr. Dumancas noting that his commitment and engagement with the academe further enhanced UA’s research, development, and capacity-building initiatives.
Dr. Catherine C. Viesca, UA Vice-president for Academic Affairs, also expressed her gratitude to both Dr. Dumancas and the DOST PCIEERD stating that it is a privilege for UA to host the Balik Scientist, who not only infused new ideas but also empowered local researchers and students.
During the virtual conference, Dr. Dumancas laid down his accomplishments during his two-weeks engagement, from May 12-26, 2025, hosted by the Integrated Research Centers (IRC) under the Vice President for Research, Extension, and Innovation (REI).
