KFS holds 1st Folklore Conference and Indigenous People Festival

True to its objective of fostering Karay-a folklore studies, the newly founded Karay-a Folklore Society (KFS) held Sab-ug: 1st Folklore Conference and Indigenous People (IP) Festival, at University of Antique Male Dormitory Hall, November 18.
Sab-ug offered a platform to researchers as eight researches about IP, their culture and beliefs, including their folksongs, stories, legends, and aspirations were presented during the said event.

Provincial IP leader Abel Pedro from Latazon, Laua-an also participated in the forum. Iraynin songs were also performed as a result of a research on ethnomusical notation.
Sab-ug is Kinaray-a for direct seeding, as a rice farming technique./IAP
