The Research Unit of the University of Antique conducted a three-day Capability Building Training -Workshop on the conduct of varied researches to capacitate both faculty and staff in producing innovative and globally competitive researches, guided by its Thrusts and Priorities, May 14-16, 2025.

The training workshop featured lectures, parallel sessions, and workshop and mentoring with top-caliber resource speakers and researchers such as Dr. Gerard G. Dumancas, DOST Balik Scientist and Associate Dean of Research and Program Innovation, Honors College, North Carolina, Prof. Leonie G. Consabo, Graduate Student, Tropical Agriculture, Kasetsart University, Thailand, Dr. Jhoanne Marsh Gatpatan, Assistant Professor 7, University of the Philippines-Visayas, Dr. Rowena S. Cabrillos, Director, Gender and Development Unit, UA, Prof. Melvin C. Ilang-Ilang, Department Chair, Department of Electrical Engineering, University of the Phlippines – Los Banos, Dr. Kristoffer Ryan T. Gidaya, Registered Psychologist and Guidance Counselor, AB Psychology Program Head, and Dr. Jelyn O. Alentajan, Vice-president for Research, Extension, and Innovation.

The activity was made possible through the collaboration with the Office of the Research, Extension, and Innovation (REI), Directors of Hamtic Campus, and Tario-Lim Memorial Campus, and Centralized Analytical Testing Laboratory (CATL).
