The recognition and awards ceremonies in the University of Antique kicked off today, starting with Laboratory High School (LHS) at Paghi-UsA Hall, June 4, 2025.
This year’s resource speaker is LTJG John David A. Vagilidad, PCG, saying, “Always seek for self-improvement. If you have the talent, go for it and discover what is within you. Unleash, just like a phoenix—growing, burning, and rising from the ashes.”
He also emphasized that the students’ journey is not just mainly about grades, awards, or titles, but rather, it is a preparation for the realities of life where leadership, integrity, and responsibility truly matter.
In her welcome message, Dr. Catherine C. Viesca, Vice-president for Academic Affairs stressed that each medal, certificate, and award are a testament to the countless hours spent in learning, growing, and striving to become the best version of themselves.
Dr. Monalie Saylo, LHS Principal, expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the Academic Awardees, Non-Academic Awardees, Core Value Awardees, parents and guardians for a job well-done, and the team Lab-High for being good mentors and second parents.
The Moving-up and Graduation Ceremonies for LHS will commence tomorrow, June 5.
