University of Antique (UA) conducted its 1st Quarter Earthquake and Fire Drill, to assess and ensure the Kasubay’s readiness and response in times of hazards and emergencies, May 15, 2025.

UA President and Emergency Director Dr. Pablo S. Crespo Jr. emphasized the importance of taking drills seriously, urging students to familiarize themselves with emergency protocols to ensure their safety and that of their loved ones, especially since earthquakes remain unpredictable despite advances in technology.

Personnel from Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), and Philippine National Police (PNP) were also present to observe, give feedback, and discuss comprehensively how the University could improve its Risk Reduction Management System.
