The Integrated Research Center – Centralized Analytical Testing Laboratory (IRC-CATL) underwent a Site Inspection conducted by the Professional Regulatory Board of Chemistry as part of requirements for Certificate of Authority to operate (CATO), last June 26, 2025.

Hon. Adoracion P. Resurreccion, Chairman, Board of Chemistry, and Hon. Ma. Theresa C. Cayton, Board Member, together with PRC Region VI Staff, Ms. Mary Grace Catalan, personally visited the academe to conduct the inspection that aims to assess whether the CATL is compliant to the standards stipulated in RA 10657 or the “Chemistry Profession Act”.

The inspection was also part of the process that the laboratory should pass before they will be granted with CATO, that will allow the laboratory to process other necessary permits, with the end goal of being licensed to test samples and release Certificates of Analysis (COA) for businesses within Antique and beyond. This will expand CATL’s services that currently only caters to tests for research purposes for UA-affiliated clients and other schools within Region VI.
