Film makers and film enthusiasts convened at the Paghi-UsA Hall of the Main Campus for the 3rd Gawad Urian Lectures on National Artists for Film: Kidlat Tahimik, Lino Brocka, and Fernando Poe Jr., organized by the Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino in collaboration with University of Antique, August 20.

The event’s highlight included lectures with respected Manunuri: Dr. Miguel Rapatan, Professor at De La Salle University (DLSU) and former head of Cinema Committee of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, Dr. Anne Francis Sangil, Associate Professor of Literature, Film Criticism, and Art Appreciation at DLSU, and Dr. Shirley Lua, Chairperson of the Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino and Associate Professor of Literature and Cultural Studies at DLSU.

The Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino has been conducting these free lectures over the country as part of their advocacy to contribute to the enhancement of film literacy and promote film education and appreciation in the country.
