
Dr. Kremlin Mark B. Ampode, Associate Professor IV, Dean, College of Agriculture, Forestry and Food Science (CAFFS), UA-Hamtic Campus, is currently at Clermont-Ferrand, France for a month-long research collaboration at INRAE: France National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food, and Environment under the Mixed Research Unit on Herbivores (UMR Herbivores) laboratory, October 1-29, 2025.
As one of the eight successful candidates admitted from the Philippines, Dr. Ampode is working as a Junior Research Fellow alongside researchers from other countries in the execution of the exploratory project OPTIM-HERD. He is also participating in the conduct of literature review on farming practices aimed at improving cattle resilience and mitigating greenhouse gas emission.
According to Dr. Ampode, their project is to come up with a modelling that addresses greenhouse gas emissions and nitrous oxide from daily animals.
This opportunity is made possible through the funding by the French Government under the grant Sejours Scientifique De Haut Niveau (SSHN).
