
The Research Concept Paper “Beyond the Silence: A Case Study Exploration of the Lived Experiences of Childhood Sexual Abuse Survivors” authored by Dr. Rowena S. Cabrillos, Dr. Darius E. Montaño, and Dr. Jelyn O. Alentajan, has been selected as a recipient of the Catalytic Mini Grants Program, implemented by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Field Office VI.
The project is original research on CICL and Children at Risk, aligning with the Juvenile Justice Research Agenda 2025-2029. With the grant, DSWD will actively support the paper’s development into a full proposal through structured mentoring and technical coaching.
To solidify the partnership, a Memorandum of Agreement was signed between DSWD R6 OIC Regional Director Joselito G. Estember and Dr. Cabrillos during the Regional Juvenile Justice Welfare Committee TWG Meeting last November 7, 2025.
The grantees will receive their award on November 24, 2025, at Days Hotel, Iloilo City.
