The University of Antique held a two-day Capacity-Building Session on Transforming Higher Education through Micro-credentials, Effective Assessment, and OBE-Aligned Syllabus Design, boosting instructional quality and curriculum innovation on November 20–21, 2025, at Busalian Hall.

Dr. Catherine C. Viesca, Vice President for Academic Affairs, commenced the activity by delivering the opening remarks and rationale of the program, followed by a message of support from University President Dr. Pablo S. Crespo Jr.

Day 1 featured insightful discussions on micro-credentials led by Dr. Greg T. Pawilen, Professor of Curriculum Studies and Human & Family Development Studies at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB), along with a workshop on micro-credential proposal development facilitated by Dr. Jenielyn T. Padrones, Director of the Office for Institutional Development in Higher Education (OIDHE), UPLB, capped by presentations and peer feedback.

Day 2 centered on constructive alignment and OBE syllabus development with Dr. Rufo Gil Z. Albor, Assistant Professor at the College of Human Ecology, UPLB, followed by hands-on workshops on CLO formulation, content structuring, CQI, and UA syllabus packaging, conducted in partnership with Dr. Padrones.
