The Commencement Exercises of the College of Maritime Studies will be graced by Capt. Hernan Sto. Tomas, MM, Training and Development Manager, Thenamaris (Ships Management) Inc., who will serve as Commencement Speaker.

A distinguished Maritime Executive and Master Mariner, Capt. Sto. Tomas brings 27 Years of experience as an Active Seafarer and a Teacher/Educator/Assessor in the Maritime Industry, with a total of 17 accumulated years as Sailing Captain.

Capt. Sto. Tomas steadily rose through ranks from Tanker Ship to Ship Mooring Master, Training Manager, Sailing Master, Marine Superintendent and Port Captain, working on Dry Docks/Brand New Vessel Deliveries and Vessel take overs.

Today, with his current work as Training and Development Manager, Capt. Sto. Tomas remains deeply committed to developing the next generation of maritime professionals into competent, disciplined, and globally competitive seafarers.
