The College of Maritime Studies (CMS) proudly welcomes the scholarship support extended by Chelsea Shipping Corporation, strengthening the industry-academe collaboration aimed at developing the next generation of competent and globally competitive Filipino seafarers through expanding opportunities for deserving maritime students.
The partnership was formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement Signing and Cadet Sponsorship Selection held today, September 11, 2026, at the Busali-an Hall, where the Chelsea Shipping Corp was represented by Chelsea Logistics and Infrastructure Holdings Corporation CEO and President Chryss Alfonsus V. Damuy, together with Chief Operating Officer Shane Anthony G. Arante.
Through this scholarship initiative, Chelsea Shipping Corporation will provide financial assistance, academic incentives, mentoring and career guidance from maritime professionals, industry exposure, career-development opportunities, priority consideration for cadetship opportunities, subject to Chelsea Shipping’s qualifications and selection requirements, and free on-board training to deserving and qualified maritime students.
The Chelsea Shipping Corporation, one of the major subsidiaries of Chelsea Logistics and Infrastructure Holdings Corp., provides quality marine shipping services to the Filipino people. It is one of the top five petroleum haulers in the Philippines that owns tankers, barges, tugboats, floating docks, and cargo freighter vessels which were under Time Charter Agreement with 2Go Group, Inc. in 2018.
We also congratulate our cadets and cadettes who passed the Cadet Sponsorship Selection:
