University of Antique strengthened its commitment to promoting informed and responsible civic participation through the Voters’ Education Seminar, “Paghinun-anon: Ready, Set, Vote,” conducted today, September 21, at Paghi-UsA Hall as part of the celebration of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary.

Atty. Pauline Grace B. Alfuente, Head of the Human Rights and Peace Education Unit, and Atty. Johnna Tronco-Catilo, Election Officer III, served as Resource Speakers and discussed to the administrative personnel, faculty, and students the merit system, bureaucracy, security of tenure, merit vs. kinship, right to suffrage, and the guide to first-time voters including the misinformation and disinformation and other offenses.

Through this seminar, UA reaffirms the essential role of education in empowering informed voters who participate meaningfully in the electoral process and contribute to a more informed and engaged citizenry.
