The College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) held its 2nd Research Colloquium today, June 3, at Busali-an Hall, where ten groups of student-researchers presented innovative studies and evidence-based solutions aimed at elevating the standards of criminal justice education and practice.

This year’s keynote speaker, Dr. Rodgen M. Jabor, Coordinator for Peace Education and Focal Person of Indigenous Peoples Education, West Visayas State University – Janiuay Campus, challenged attendees to look beyond data collection and reflect deeply on the true purpose of academic inquiry.

He emphasized the inseparable relationship between education and peace, explaining that peace serves as a bridge toward building inclusive communities, and criminal justice institutions carry the responsibility of becoming peacebuilders by upholding rigorous academic standards and advancing research excellence.

The colloquium gathered five groups of presenters from the Industrial Security Management program and five groups from the Criminology program, research advisers, and faculty members to witness the presentation of research outputs.
