Preparing the students to what lies ahead in the world of work, the Career and Job Placement Unit (CJPU) of the University gathered the graduating students from the eight colleges of the Main Campus for the Career Sessions on Power Dressing, Social Graces, Building Self-esteem, and Stress Management, at Paghi-usa Hall, March 21.

Prof. Emma O. Feranil, MPA, MAEd GC, RPm, Director of Career and Job Placement Unit, stated that the sessions aim to equip the students with insights, guidelines, and sources that will guide them as they transition from academic to professional work.

Keynote speakers who are experts on their field also graced the program and shared their knowledge on the importance of dressing well and gaining healthy self-esteem, as well as raising awareness on the attributes of socially skilled individuals, and basic principles of stress management.

Dr. Crespo in his message emphasized the importance of the internship phase in the students’ lives saying, “Our apprenticeship is more than just a validation of what we have learned in the classroom … also above all, it is an important opportunity to develop your attitude towards work.”

Students from the College of Business and Accountancy (CBA), College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE), College of Maritime Studies (CMS), and College of Computer Studies (CCS) were catered in the morning while students from College of Teacher Education (CTE), College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), College of Technology (COT), and College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA) convened for the afternoon session.
