Opening doors of opportunity for University of Antique, Ms. Yin Meiling, Human Resource Manager of C&U Philippines, Inc. visited UA to conduct an onsite interview for student applicants as part of C&U’s Recruitment from Internship to Employment Program at Balay ni Juan, February 1-2.
 
Fourth year students from College of Technology (COT) and College of Business and Accountancy (CBA) undergone interview to ensure a spot at C&U Philippines which is under the C&U Group, one of the largest bearing manufacturers in China. With its business varying from commercial supermarket, mechanical & electrical trade, it was also included on the list of top ten bearing manufacturers worldwide.
 
Dr. Pablo S. Crespo Jr., UA President, stated that the academe’s partnership with C&U is the product of his visit to China on 2022. He also left a message to the aspiring interns to show their best foot forward and show that just like every Antiqueño they are hardworking and do not shy away responsibilities.
 
“Here is a company that will be offering us with an opportunity to do internship and eventually a chance to work in their company… We are indeed very happy and grateful that you are here giving high hopes to these students, a hope for a better future,” Dr. Crespo further stated extending his appreciation to Ms. Yin Meiling.
 
Dr. Jelyn O. Alentajan, Vice-president of Academic Affairs, shared that the last time UA partnered for internship as part of UA’s internationalization effort was about 20 years ago with a Singaporean partner who placed the students at Singapore. She also recognized that what C&U offers is more than just a training, it’s the compassion and understanding that students’ welfare will be taken care of at C&U.

Dr. Lilian Farparan, Dean of College of Technology, Dr. Loyalda T. Bolivar, Dean of College of Business and Accountancy and the student representatives from the two colleges also delivered their message of commitment.
