DPO holds Data Privacy Awareness for Support Staff

To promote compliance with the data privacy policy and to mitigate operational risks, the Data Protection Office (DPO) headed by Mr. Juancho F. Jamile conducts Data Privacy Awareness Training for UA Support Staff Members at Busalian Hall, September 08.

Dr. Pablo S. Crespo Jr., University President, cited different scenarios of why the University needs to protect the data of its students, employees, and stakeholders.

“If you have to give data, we make sure actually that the data privacy policy of University of Antique is being followed,” he further stated.

Pool of experts from the Public Attorney’s Office, namely Atty. Lesly Ann J. Cataluña – Jamile, Atty. LV Jo T. Escartin, and Atty. Gelanderwin C. Estoya-Bautista, graced the activity to discuss topics relevant to the training such as, Personal and Sensitive Information, Overview of UA Privacy Policy, and Security of Personal Data./IAP
