On the 40th year of his February 11, 1986 assassination, the University of Antique honors the life and legacy of the late Antique Governor Evelio B. Javier, whose transformative leadership continues to inspire generations. He championed democracy, and his martyrdom became one of the sparks that ignited the 1986 People Power Revolution.
