Participants of the five-day long training and workshop on Cultural Mapping of Panay and Guimaras gathered for the closing program today, April 5.

The mapping, hosted by the University of Antique (UA) in partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV), featured field works, lectures, and workshops that helped in discovering significant pieces of heritage in the province that will be preserved and promoted.

Among the places that the mappers visited in Antique were Patnongon, Bugasong, San Jose, Hamtic, Dao, Anini-y, Sibalom, and Belison.

Aligned to the Cultural Mapping Law (RA 11961), the activity is part of the CMPG Project which is a top priority of Senate President Pro Tempore Loren B. Legarda.
