Sixty-seven (67) new permanent employees of University of Antique took oath before the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Chairman, Dr. J. Prospero “Popoy” E. de Vera III, at Paghiusa Hall, January 19.

Dr. de Vera in his message applauded the employees of the academe and extended his hope that “everyone recognizes the very valuable role that we in Higher Education is performing, we are changing lives, we are producing a better Philippines because of Higher Education.”

He also raised the fact that the institution will always remain bigger than anyone, and he encouraged the part of the academe to uphold and protect the name of the institution through being accountable to the people, and through serving them with utmost responsibility, integrity, loyalty, and efficiency.

“Those who came before you, those who are called the building blocks of what UA now, you owe them a responsibility na yung kanilang tinayong pundasyon ay dadagdagan mo ng mas matibay na pundasyon. Mahiya kayo na sirain ang pangalan ng mga mas nauna sa inyo… University of Antique will always be there, so every bad thing that you do that destroys the University of Antique, destroys the seven decades that others have built before you,” Dr. de Vera further stated.

Out of the 67 new permanent employees who took oath, 55 are from the Main Campus and 12 are from Hamtic Campus./IU
