Anchored in this year’s theme, “Values and Volunteering,” this celebration reminds us that shared values can transcend the hostility and negativity that divide us, inspiring acts of kindness, compassion, and service that bring people together.

As an academe, may we remain guided by our core values, particularly social responsibility, and translate our principles into meaningful action. May our values go beyond the principles we uphold and become the actions we take to create positive change in our communities and contribute to a better world for all.

Above all, let us practice kindness, respect, and compassion toward everyone, regardless of rank or position, recognizing that our values are best reflected in how we treat others.
