As part of the drug prevention and control program, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and University of Antique through Health Services Unit collaborated in the conduct of Drug Abuse Prevention Education (DAPE) lecture for 223 first year College of Maritime Studies (CMS) students, at Paghiusa Hall, today, April 11.

IA III Jyxyvzcky G. Escrupolo, PDEA Antique Provincial Officer, and IO I Florraine Zausa served as resource speakers on the topics: Drug Situation in the province, RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, and Drugs Awareness, which advocates responsible choices regarding drug use.

Dr. Runato A. Basañes, Executive Director for Student Affairs and Services, also encouraged the participants to engage in meaningful discussion, share their insights, and chart a path towards a safer future believing that “together we can create a stronger, healthier Philippines.”

The activity is also part of PDEA’s anti-illegal drug campaign as the lead agency in the enforcement of Anti-Drug Law.
