UP RI and NOAH Center holds SAFER-U Onsite Visit

University of the Philippines Resilience Institute (RI) and Nationwide Operational Assessment of Hazard (NOAH) Center hold a SAFER-U Onsite Visit to discuss the Land Use Development and Infrastructure Plan (LUDIP) and conduct data gathering at University of Antique Main Campus, March 15.

Four researchers led by Dr. Kristoffer B. Berse, Co-Project Leader, Team 4 Expert, SAFER-U, were deployed to the University to present the results and gather feedback on the LUDIP Review as well as the outputs produced by UP NOAH Center for UA and to discuss the next steps of the project.

Dr. May T. Delgado, Vice-president for Research, Extension, Continuing Education and Training Services, stated that the activity would give the University more inputs regarding land use planning.

“We would be guided more to ensure a fair and transparent allocation of land resources and a sustainable use of vital resources of the University,” Dr. Delgado further stated.

The activity which includes a series of presentations and data gathering was attended by UA top officials, UA LUDIP Technical Working Group, and Campus Directors, and was made possible through the Institutional Planning and Development Office headed by Dr. Nelly E. Mistio, Vice-president for Administration and Finance, and OIC Planning Director./IAP
