The University of Antique Board of Regents (BOR) held a Public Forum with UA’s Private Sector Representatives: Hon. Marilou R. Llavan and Hon. Harold Aurelio T. Tating, at the Busali-an Hall, UA Main Campus, today, September 11, 2025.
Through the public forum, the Private Sector Representatives’ presentation, performance, and plans are assessed by the evaluation committee, headed by Atty. Rolly O. Pedriña together with Prof. Mark Joseph T. Reyes and Mr. Mark Spenzer Merendad, as part of their bid to extend their term as BOR Member.
Dr. Pablo S. Crespo Jr., UA President and Vice Chairperson of the BOR, emphasized that as Kasubay (Kasama sa pagsulong ng bayan), progress will only be possible when every hand is joined together and that is the spirit by the private sector representatives in the BOR.
“This forum is a reminder for all of us that education is not the sole work of teachers or of the government; it is a shared mission, it is our collective duty, public and private alike, to ensure that our graduates are competent, ethical, and passionate workers and leaders of tomorrow,” Dr. Crespo further stated.
Ms. Nicole Asedillo, Technical Staff and representative of the Office of Commissioner Ethel Valenzuela, and Ms. Mary Grace Arreola, representative from the office of Commissioner Ricmar P. Aquino, Chair-designate of UA BOR, joined the forum through zoom platform. Present on-site are the academe’s executives and stakeholders representing the Alumni, PTA, Employees, and students that comprise the University body.
