Personnel from the University of Antique’s Centralized Analytical Testing Laboratory (CATL) participated in the 40th Philippine Chemistry Congress (40PCC) and 17th Eurasia Conference on Chemical Sciences, held at SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City, on June 10-12, 2026.

Representing CATL were Ms. Jessebel V. Gadot, CATL Laboratory Officer and Ms. Valerie Joy T. Naviamos, CATL Science Research Analyst, whose participation provided valuable opportunities to connect and network with chemistry professionals, chemical industry experts, and equipment suppliers.

The event also enabled CATL personnel to stay abreast of current research trends in various niches in the field of chemistry, follow up status of processes with various suppliers such as purchase and repair of equipment, and become more updated with recent developments and premier technologies in food chemistry, environmental chemistry, and AI and chemistry.

Carrying the theme β€œSolving Tomorrow’s Problems Today Through Chemistry,” the congress featured notable speakers including Nobel Laureates Prof. Susumu Kitagawa (Nobel Laureate for Chemistry 2025) and Prof. Jean-Marie Lehn (Nobel Laureate in Chemistry, 1987) together with the other prominent chemistry professionals locally and internationally.
