UA holds free Flu and Pneumonia Vaccination

University of Antique is one step ahead in protecting the Kasubays especially this rainy season as the Health Services Unit conducts Free Flu and Pneumonia Vaccination at Busali-an Hall, June 2.

500 flu vaccines and 250 pneumonia vaccines are made available to the students, faculty, and staff of the Main Campus.

According to Dr. Pearl Joy H. Cortejo, Director of Health Services Unit, the free shots are part of the academe’s effort to lower the risks and complications of flu virus, pneumonia, and other respiratory diseases.

The vaccination is a yearly activity of UA starting this year and the next batch of free vaccines will be available in September.

The activity is in line with the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) No. 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages./IAP
