The Data Protection Unit partnered with the Public Attorney’s Office for the conduct of Data Privacy Awareness Training for new employees at Busali-an Hall, August 29, 2025.

Atty. Ma. Jessica B. Cuello and Atty. Lesly Ann Cataluña – Jamile served as the Resource Speaker and equipped the participants with necessary knowledge and skills to handle personal and sensitive information responsibly and to ensure accountability in data processing activities.

The said training is a mandatory requirement for new employees, ensuring that the academe fosters the culture of privacy and data protection as anchored to its commitment to strengthen its compliance to Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173).
