University of Antique (UA) became the first partner State University of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) as the two organizations inked a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) at Busalian Hall today, March 7.

Dr. Pablo S. Crespo Jr., UA President, stated that the partnership with DSWD will ensure that the academe will reach its mission which is to empower people and transforming their lives and families.

“UA would like to volunteer to be your extra arm, to be your extra hand, and above all to be your extra heart here in the Province of Antique,” Dr. Crespo added.

Atty. Carmelo N. Nochete, Regional Director of DSWD Regional Office VI, also shared his hope that UA and DSWD will work hand in hand in reaching their goals through the implementation of different programs.

Mr. Noli Valenzuela, DSWD-SLP Provincial Team Leader, Dr. May T. Delgado, VP for Research, Extension, and Innovation, Dr. Nelly E. Mistio, VP for Administration and Finance, Executive Directors, Deans, and DSWD Representatives were also present during the signing where future collaborations and projects were also discussed./IU
