UA presents Extension Project on National Conference

University of Antique extensionists present the “Bunga ng Kaunlaran sa Sibalom: An Extension Project of UA- DOST CEST Program Implementation at the Municipality of Sibalom, Antique” during the National Extension Conference hosted by Southern Leyte State University, March 21-22.

Dr. Pablo S. Crespo Jr., University President, Dr. Marie Ann J. Raymaro, Extension Director, and Dr. Debbie Jean Sabug, Intellectual Property Management Office Director, served as extensionists and presenters of the said initiative during the conference which was participated by 34 State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and private Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) all over the country.

The virtual conference themed, “Improving community: Impact-driven extension activities in the new normal,” aims to bring together extensionists in the country to share their experiences in conducting extension activities especially during the pandemic.

The Bunga ng Kaunlaran sa Sibalom initiative was launched and has been building progressive and empowered rural communities since 2019 through conducting trainings, supporting local farmers, providing equipment such as Ceramic Water Filters and Computer Units, and providing nutritious complementary food blends./IAP
