Strengthening its linkage with local organizations, University of Antique signs two separate Memoranda of Agreement (MOA) with People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP)- Negros Chapter and Vallacar Transit Incorporated (VTI) on a virtual MOA signing held through zoom today, March 15.

Dr. Pablo S. Crespo Jr., although in transit also assured that he will be supporting these collaborations which according to him are proof that the reach of the academe is getting wider.

Both PMAP- Negros Chapter President, Maria Louie A. Jomero, and VTI Vice President for Administration, Atty. Julius C. Entila, on their message also shared their excitement on the possibilities and opportunities that lies ahead of this partnership.

“I am excited to work hand in hand (with UA) so that we can explore and further the human resource practice in the whole of Western Visayas,” Jomero stated.

UA was represented by Prof. Catherine C. Viesca, Executive Director for Academics, Dr. Cecilia O. Salvilla, Dean of College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), Dr. Dolorosa M. Pajarillo, Director of Continuing Education Unit, and Dr. Marie Ann Raymaro, Executive Director for Resource Management Unit.

Prof. Nicasio A. Pimentel III, CAS Faculty, who serves as a Management Consultant for VTI and trainer in HR Analytics for PMAP Negros, paved the way for this collaboration.

PMAP is a professional, non-stock, not-for-profit organization with thousands of member companies and individual management executives engaged or interested in Human Resource Management (HRM) and Industrial Relations (IR) work.  It aims to help institutions mold an enlightened, competent, socially responsible, and influential sector of people managers who can effectively participate in nation-building. Vallacar Transit Incorporated on the other hand is the first subsidiary of the Yanson Group of Bus Companies that continually expands its service to the different areas in the country including the Western Visayas.
