
University of Antique marked the first Purple Wednesday of the Women’s Month through the kick-off of Zumba ni jUAn-a, a celebration of strength, sisterhood, and self-love.
The Zumba session, which is one of the several activities lined up for the month-long celebration, brought together students and employees of the university.
The activity was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Gender and Development Unit, Human Resource Unit, Health Unit, and the College of Arts and Sciences – Physical Education Department.
As part of the Women’s Month celebration, the kasUbAy community is encouraged to wear purple every Wednesday of March to advocate gender equality and women’s empowerment.
