
The University of Antique-Hamtic Campus (UAHC) and University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) formally sealed their partnership today, March 5, 2026, through a signing of Memorandum of Agreement via Zoom platform.
The collaboration gives UAHC Food Technology students an access to UPV’s specialized food processing equipment and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)-compliant facilities to improve skills in Food Processing courses and prepare skilleds, safety-conscious, and industry-ready food technology graduates and future Registered Food Technologists.
Aligned with the professional competency standards and recommendations of the Philippine Regulatory Board for Food Technology under the Professional Regulation Commission, the partnership also ensures opportunities for students to collaborate and enhance experiential learning through supervised laboratory exposure, benchmarking activities, academic knowledge-sharing, and ensuring alignment with the national professional standards.
Dr. Clement C. Camposano, Chancellor, represented and signed on behalf of UPV, while Dr. Pablo S. Crespo Jr., University President, represented UA. Witnesses to the signing include Dr. Johannes M. Magpusao, Dean, UPV School of Technology and Prof. Glenda B. Mabaquiao, Campus Director, UA-HC.
