Kasubabaihan, the empowered women who contribute to the success of University of Antique, were honored during the Women’s Month Kick-off Celebration today, March 11.

On his message, Dr. Pablo S. Crespo Jr., UA President reminded the students that true empowerment comes from education, citing the women leaders, faculty, and staff as true examples of empowered women who constantly break stereotypes and glass ceiling, and proving that the women can.

Dr. Crespo further stated to never limit women on what they could do or what they could accomplish, especially now that statistics show that UA have more female students.

Dr. Rowena Cabrillos, Director for Gender and Development (GAD), also encouraged every Kasubay to strengthen their advocacy and reaffirm their commitment to a better world where women, LGBTQIA+ are heard, respected, and honored.

Activities such as Symposium on Responsible dating and Teenage Pregnancy, TikTok Challenge, CUAchella, and Serbisyo para kay Juan-a are also in store as part of the Women’s Month celebration.
