University of Antique together with 30 other Philippine Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) signed a Letter of Agreement with SEAMEO QITEP in Science that entails partnership with 12 Indonesian Institutions during the 1st Partnership Workshop of Southeast Asia Student Mobility and Advance Metaverse Technology at University of Northern Philippines, Vigan City, November 22-23.

The agreement also secures the institutions’ participation to the 1st Southeast Asia Student Mobility (SEA-SM) and Advance Metaverse Technology Summit among HEIs in Indonesia and Philippines which will be implemented in 2024 and will be applied for 3rd and 4th year students in the selected Bachelor’s Degree programs such as electronics or industrial technology, engineering, mass communication, computer science, agriculture, hospitality and tourism, and business administration.

Among the Indonesian Institutions were IPB University, Nusa Cendana University, Politeknik Negeri Bandung, Srijaya Negara Foundation, Sriwijaya University, Universitas Ahmad Dahlan, Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang, Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta, Universitas Negeri Malang, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, and Universitas Sebelas Maret.

Moreover, Prof. Jennelyn Omadio, Director of International Affairs Unit, and Dr. Lilian Farparan, Dean of College of Technology (COT) also set out mutual cooperation with different HEIs present during the Workshop./IU
