Congratulations to the Innovation and Technology Support Office (ITSO) of University of Antique for bagging the Bronze Award from the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPhl) during the 3rd ITSO Presidents’ Summit (2023 ITSO Clustering Awards) held at Dusit Thani Hotel, Makati City on March 18.

Dr. Debbie Jean V. Sabug-Riego, Innovation Promotion Unit (IPU) Director and ITSO Manager, personally received the award that serves as a recognition of the University’s accomplishment in conducting Intellectual Property (IP) Awareness sessions, patent search and drafting trainings, and other IP related activities conducted through IPU.

According to Dr. Sabug-Riego, the Regional Agri-Aqua Innovation System Enhancement – Intellectual Property-Technology Business Management (RAISE IP-TBM) project sponsored by the Department of Science & Technology – Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD) being lodged in the Unit is also instrumental for UA to receive the award.

The 2023 ITSO Presidents’ Summit serves as a venue where updates in the ITSO program implementation were presented and (ITSO) members who have diligently fulfilled the ITSO 2.0 Clustering deliverables for 2023 were recognized.
