The University of Antique, together with 22 other State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) under the Office of Commissioner Desiderio R. Apag III, convened for HIUSA 2026, the 3rd SUCs Executive Forum and Launching of the SMART SUCs 2030 Framework, at the University of Rizal System – Morong Campus, September 1–3, 2026.

The forum serves as a venue for the discussion of strategic governance issues, harmonization of institutional practices, sharing of innovative initiatives, strengthening of collaboration across the 22 participating SUCs, and providing updates on Certificates of Program Compliance (COPC), accreditation, SUC leveling, universityhood initiatives, and other emerging priorities affecting public higher education.

Representing UA are Dr. Godelyn G. Hisole, UA President; Dr. Jelyn O. Alentajan, Vice President for Research, Extension, and Innovation; Mr. Reiner Paul P. Teologo, Chief Administrative Officer for Administration; Mr. Jhay S. Luces, Board Secretary I; Mr. Jaykem Elanga, Legal Assistant II, and Mr. Jacinto Valera, Director of the Information and Communications Technology Unit, who presented the academe’s SMART University initiatives and best practices.
