UA Recertified as ISO 9001: 2015 Compliant

University of Antique (UA) formally received the recertification from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) after a two-day successful audit of its quality management system on Wednesday, March 16.

“In the year 2020 we were given certification of our ISO Audit. 1st cycle of the audit is equivalent for 3 years and, on this cycle of 2020, we passed and we’re ready for the second cycle, but because of the pandemic the second surveillance was moved this year, 2022” UA President, Dr. Pablo S. Crespo Jr. said.

ISO 9001:2015 is an internationally accepted standard for quality management. It attests that organizations consistently provide products and services that meet customer requirements and enhance client satisfaction.

UA’s ISO certification was given in 2016, renewable every three years following consistent surveillance and internal audits.

“The certification signifies that UA’s processes and services meet quality standards. All the university organizations are familiarizing and making sure that the system is in place. It’s reminding us what are to be improved and points for improvement of services better.” Dr. Crespo added.

Compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards has helped improve UA’s customer service and responsiveness to its stakeholders.

The recertification was made formal in a small ceremony at the HRM Function Hall, where Mr. Ranilo “Rannie” L. Bernardino, NQA Lead Auditor presented the certificate to Dr. Crespo and other university officials. /IAP
