Thirty-six (36) Research Proposals from the different colleges and campuses of University of Antique are subjected for In-house Review and Inception for the second semester of A.Y. 2024 – 2025 at Balay ni Juan, May 8 to 10, 2024.

Dr. Fely P. David, Retired Graduate School Dean of Central Philippine University (CPU), Prof. Leonie G. Consabo, MSc, Division Chair, Crop Science Department of West Visayas State University – College of Agriculture and Forestry (WVSU-CAF), Dr. Jonny B. Pornel, Asst. Professor, University of the Philippines (UP) – Visayas, and Dr. Kristoffer Ryan T. Gidaya, Head of the UA Guidance and Counselling Services Unit, who are experts in the field of research, serve as evaluators or panelist during the in-house review.

Dr. Susan F. Atienza, Director of Research Unit, stated that the proposals are anchored to the new vision of UA which is to become a premiere university in transforming lives and building sustainable and resilient community. She also encouraged the researchers to immediately submit their manuscripts to the Scopus Index Journal.

“We are hoping that we will be included already in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. Indi gid kita kasulod jan kara unless we can come up with that 150 Scopus indexed researches this school year,” she further stated.

According to Dr. May T. Delgado, Vice President for Research, Extension, and Innovation (VP-REI), the activity exemplifies the institution’s pursuit towards excellence in research as well as the researchers’ commitment to contribute to the fund of knowledge.

“Let us keep on working together for each of our respective programs and colleges to soar higher in research,” VP Delgado added.

Out of 36 Proposals, two (2) are from the College of Teacher Education (CTE), four (4) from College of Industrial Technology (CIT), 10 from College of Business and Accountancy (CBA), one (1) from the College of Maritime Studies (CMS), three (3) from College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA), eight (8) from College of Computer Studies, two (2) from the Libertad Campus, and six (6) from Hamtic Campus.

The Research Unit, the organizer of the activity, will also conduct a Research Forum on May 30 where 40 estimated researches will be presented.
