UA’s bets finish at Top 7 on ForeSTAR 2023

Fashion Design and Apparel Technology Students, Rummondt Remington Jr. and Charlene Mae Cahilig, capped off their journey at Top 7 during the ForeSTAR 2023: None Timber Forest Products (NTFP) Fashion Design Competition at Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Compound, Visayas Avenue, Diliman Quezon City, last December 1.

With the theme “Paskong Pinoy” the models were glammed with wearable fashion pieces that utilized None Timber Forest products during the biggest fashion show event in the field of Forestry that was facilitated by DENR Forest Management Bureau (FMB).

Central Luzon State University claimed the first place, followed by Technological University of the Philippines – Manila and Eulogio “Amang” Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology at second and third place respectively. While De La Salle College of Saint Benilde, Marikina Polytechnic College, Sorsogon State University also landed as Top 7 finalists.

The academe’s participation was through the guidance of Prof. Rhyllian F. Bacaling, Prof. Reniel A. Bacera and Prof. Myra M. Napulag, from the College of Technology./IU
